Me and my Boys rescued a motorist stranded on Warrengate Lane this morning as the river burst its banks and flooded the road. Quick thinking ..we decided to help him as the water level seemed to be rising. We had a rope in our boot so we tied one end to our car and threw the other end to him so that he could hold it and hopefully we could pull him to safety. After two attempts we managed to pull him out to a higher level on the road were he waited for further assistance to get his car engine to work again! We have a video of this also.
